EverTrue Crossroads at Bevo Mill Named “Development of the Year”
St. Louis Development Corporation honors 64-unit senior housing community that brings new life to Gravois Avenue
ST. LOUIS (October 1, 2026) — EverTrue Crossroads at Bevo Mill has been named “Development of the Year” at the 2026 Mayor’s Celebration of Businesses Luncheon, powered by the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC). The award was presented today, Thursday, October 1, recognizing projects that strengthen St. Louis neighborhoods and its economy.
Located at 4900 Gravois Avenue, directly across from the historic Bevo Mill windmill, EverTrue Crossroads is a four-story, mixed-income community offering 64 affordable and market-rate apartments for older adults. The community was co-developed by EverTrue and Tower Grove Neighborhoods Community Development Corporation (TGCDC), and is operated and managed by EverTrue. It is the first project in the area built to the design and development goals of the Bevo Great Streets Plan.
The project took shape over nearly a decade, from early conversations in 2017 to a ribbon-cutting on April 30, 2026. Its purpose is simple: to give older adults who have spent their lives in Bevo Mill a high-quality, affordable way to stay in the neighborhood they love. Every apartment features a fully accessible bathroom, and shared spaces — including a lobby with a fireplace, a card room and gathering areas — are designed to foster connection among residents.

“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition from the Mayor and the St. Louis Development Corporation,” said Adam Marles, President and CEO of EverTrue. “EverTrue Crossroads at Bevo Mill shows what’s possible when a community comes together around a shared vision. Older adults who helped build this neighborhood deserve the chance to grow older here, close to their friends, their churches and the places they know. We’re grateful to Tower Grove Neighborhoods CDC, our neighborhood partners and the City of St. Louis for believing in this project and helping bring it home.”
EverTrue thanks the many partners who made Crossroads possible, including Tower Grove Neighborhoods CDC, architect Rosemann & Associates, Better Bevo Now, the Newport Heights Neighborhood Association and the Bevo Community Improvement District.
