EverTrue accredited by National Institute for Jewish Hospice
Staff is trained on Jewish culture, values and traditions to help ease end-of-life needs
EverTrue has partnered with the National Institute for Jewish Hospice to be formally accredited to carry out end-of-life rituals for community members of the Jewish faith.
The accreditation trains and sensitizes team members with knowledge of Jewish culture, values and traditions including, but not limited to, Jewish medical ethics, burial practices, Jewish mourning customs and Jewish holidays.
“As a faith-based organization, EverTrue is dedicated to providing the best possible care for all faith communities,” said Kristy Krumwiede, Director of Hospice and Palliative. “This accreditation gives our patients and their families a guarantee that their wishes will be followed in a compassionate and caring way.”
EverTrue currently provides hospice support from symptom management and therapies to bereavement and grief support for patients’ families. With hospice care provided in all 12 of EverTrue’s Life Plan Communities and in patient’s homes through the Anywhere Care program, EverTrue serves clients and their families with warmth and security wherever they live.
