The Willows at EverTrue Brooking Park – Independent Living

Ann Prenatt and her husband Bill have lived in The Willows, the Independent Living residences of EverTrue Brooking Park, for the past four years. They moved to the community due to its size but have stayed due to its heart.

“It didn’t feel like a gigantic place when we looked at it and the people were incredibly welcoming when we visited, they still are,” said Ann. “The culture invites and encourages residents to play an active role in each other’s lives.”

As one of the community leaders, Ann has been active in keeping The Willows at EverTrue Brooking Park a vibrant and comfortable community for Independent Living residents both new and old. So, she had many questions when the St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System came forward to share that the community would be part of an affiliation with EverTrue.

“As the chair of the Residents Council, I was able to see the broader picture of what the affiliation could do for our community and I believe this change was definitely in the best interest of our residents,” said Ann. “EverTrue brings with it more resources and human capital to support us and to support the staff we already have.”

She is especially happy to see EverTrue making good on the commitments it made to the residents during the affiliation – specifically that EverTrue leadership was clear about its initial focus being on improving Brooking Park and they continue to make good on their commitments along with the fact that team members have been retained.

“I am excited about what the future will hold as a part of EverTrue,” said Ann. “I know that this affiliation means that things might change but I believe that it is all going to be change for the better.”
