Going Big for Bocce

Wellness is more than just fitness. It’s about friendship, fresh air and a little friendly competition. And nothing brings it all together quite like bocce at EverTrue Luther Crest in Allentown, PA.

“Before I moved to EverTrue Luther Crest, I didn’t even know how to spell bocce!” laughs resident Susan. “I am playing in both the Spring and Fall Leagues, meeting new people and enjoying time in the outdoors!”

One of the community’s most beloved activities, bocce, has become a staple of life for residents, with two official leagues rolling strong every year. Employing skill and strategy, as well as exercise, the classic Italian ball game is a great way to stay fit and focused. The Spring Bocce League sees 60 residents across 12 teams compete for the coveted League Champion title, while the Fall Bocce League grows even bigger, welcoming 16 teams of eager players. Each season ends with a luncheon and award ceremony.

Bocce is a true wellness win. This low-impact sport boosts balance, coordination, and mental focus, all while delivering a healthy dose of laughter and connection. Newcomers are always welcome, where seasoned players are happy to show them the ropes.
