Adventures According to You in Music City

Margaret and Marilyn, both residents at EverTrue Laclede Groves in Webster Groves, Missouri, have always enjoyed traveling and now take every adventuring opportunity. With trips coordinated and scheduled by their Life Plan Community, an adventure is as easy as walking out the door and knowing that their home is being taken care of while away.

On a recent trip to Nashville, Tennessee, they found that “Music City” offered the perfect blend of history, culture and fun. They had a blast as they explored some of the city’s iconic attractions, including a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry and visits to the historic Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, RCA Studios, a bus tour of the city with singing tour guides and a stop at Garth Brook’s honky-tonk. An evening show at the Grand Ole Opry with a surprise appearance by Brad Paisley was the cherry on top!

“I fulfilled one of my bucket list items by visiting the Garth Brooks establishment on Broadway. I was in heaven,” shared Margaret.

The trip wasn’t all about music, though. Residents also had the chance to dive into the local culture, savoring some delicious Nashville BBQ — a true southern delicacy.
For some residents, this was their first trip to Nashville, and the excitement was palpable as they explored new sights and sounds. For others, the visit brought back fond memories, stirring a sense of nostalgia.

“This was the best trip. I really wanted to visit Nashville, but I didn’t want to do it alone. This group made it so much easier and more comfortable,” said Marilyn.

Margaret and Marilyn are always looking forward to more opportunities to grow and explore new destinations or even revisiting cherished places. They already have a spring break trip planned to Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carlina. For them, life is all about seeing what’s just around the bend!
